Cyber Security

As we’re all aware there has been an increase in Cyber-Security ‘events’ and in particular scams recently.

A particular scam that concerns your communication with TASCO Petroleum is when persons unknown might potentially try to email our customers and convince you to pay your fuel account into different bank accounts. So please be aware of the following…

Our bank account details haven’t changed in over 30 years and there is no reason we will be changing them any time soon!

Our account details remain…
Commonwealth Bank
BSB 064000
Account 1060 2067
Name TASCO Petroleum

You can always find our bank account details in the body of your emailed statement but if you get our statements by email be aware that unfortunately even these details can be changed by scammers in the event that YOUR email system has been hacked! You must therefore maintain good email security and regularly change your email password. Talk to your internet provider if you have any concerns about your internet or email security.
All risk of being scammed is removed if you use our (free) direct debit system call 1800 842 842 to sign up.

In the event that you are not using our direct debit system, we recommend you build our bank account details into your banking software and never change it based on an email advice suggesting you do so!

If our bank account details change, we will notify you by letter, phone call or face-to-face, but never by email.

As always, we’re only a call away, talk to your local depot manager or call us on 1800 842 842.
